Our Church Growth Mandate
As we all know, the Church of Jesus Christ is ordained to a continuous and endless growth (Matthew 16:18). We also understand from the scriptures that whatever the Lord does shall be forever. In the same vein, Jesus commanded us not only to bring forth fruits into the kingdom but that our fruits abide in the kingdom (Ecclesiastics 3:14; John 15:16).

For the above, at Overcomers’ Chapel, we continue to:
(i) Drive souls winning as a lifestyle for every Overcomer (John 15:16; II Corinthians 5:17-20).
(ii) Drive every Overcomer to work on minimum One Soul per month. This shall be on individual or partnership basis
(John 15:1- 2; Revelation 22:1-3; John 15:16; II Corinthians 5:17-20).
(iii) Church base outreaches: Weekly tract distribution, Operation Andrew, Bring a friend service, etc.
(iv) Dedicated prayers for all our fruits (new converts and visitors) to abide and be established in Christ and in this Church (John 10:16; Galatians 4.19Colossians 4:12).
(v) Dedicated prayers for the Pastor and the Church leadership to be endued with the Spirit of wisdom towards the establishment of this church in this nation as we continue to grow (Proverbs 3:19; Psalm 90:17).
(vi) We must engage in seeking God’s wisdom and apply the knowledge of the Word for the stability and establishment of souls (Isaiah 33:6; Proverbs 24:3-5).
(vii) Dedicated prayers against all satanic powers or people who are against the growth and establishment of this Church in this nation.
(viii) Dedicated prayers for the baptism of the Holy Spirit empowerment for effective witness for Christ (Acts 1:8).
(ix) Teaching and encouraging member to allocate time weekly to reach out to souls.
(x) Prayerfully follow up with visitors and attempting to meet their physical need (where possible)
(xi) Use Church transportation to pick up and drop off the elderly and members with children.
The Bible makes it clear that God is the great multiplier; it also makes it clear the He multiplies membership of the church in response to the prayers of His saints (Jeremiah 30:19; Ezekiel 36:37; Isaiah 66:7-8; Acts 6:4-7). Obviously, without God at work, membership consolidation and multiplication will remain an uphill task, because except the Lord builds the house, those that labour do it in vain (Psalm 127:1-2; Romans 9:16). This is why we cannot overlook or overemphasis the place of prayer in the quest for consolidating and multiplication.
Therefore, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, our church growth mandate is INCREASE AND CONSOLIDATION
(Jeremiah 30:19-21).
